Welcome to Morocco. We will greet you at the Mohamed V airport in Casablanca. After check-in at the hotel, we will then have a light meal at a local restaurant. You will have the afternoon to rest at the hotel. Early evening, we’ll walk along the Corniche and dine at a restaurant by the ocean.

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Hassan II Mosque - one of the only two mosques non-Muslims can enter in Morocco. We will then drive to Tangier on the Mediterranean. We will have lunch along the way.

In the morning, we'll go on a half-day tour of the medina of Tangier, retracing the steps of famous creatives such as Paul Bowles. We will then head for a nearby beach and relax for the rest of the day.​​

Today, we will go to a magical place, colorful, joyful and peaceful. About two hours drive from Tangier, Chefchaouen is located in the middle of the Rif Moutains. You will be breathing in the fresh mountain air and of course there will be plenty of time to take pictures of this beautiful place.​​

Today, we will time travel to Volubilis, a well-preserved and stunningly beautiful Roman archaeological site. The tour will be followed by a visit to one of the most renowned Moroccan wineries, where we will explore the vineyards and enjoy wine tastings with lunch.  After this interlude, we will drive to Fez for the night. A light dinner will be served at the Riad.

Visit the medina of Fez, known for its quality of crafts and artisanship. Explore this labyrinth with a knowledgeable guide. Understand the stories that are held in the markets and souks of this fascinating medieval city. Our tour of the medina will be followed by a light lunch at a local cafe.​​

 

After an afternoon break, you will enjoy a Moroccan cooking class, where you’ll learn how to create some of Morocco’s most famous and traditional dishes. Then you will sit and sample your delicious food for dinner.

Accommodation: night 6 @ Riad in Fez

Travel from Fez to your camp in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. On the way, you’ll pass Ifrane, known as Little Switzerland and Azrou covered in cedar forests and home to barbary macaques.

 

After a quick lunch, we’ll drive to our desert camp. You will be greeted with gnawa music and delicious food.

After breakfast, we will four-wheel drive to the highest dunes of Erg Chebbi. We'll look for fossils and take pictures of the majestic dunes. We will also visit a a local nomad community, have tea and learn about their way of life. We will then have a picnic lunch at a quiet and delightful oasis. Late afternoon, we will return to the desert camp to chill and have dinner. Then celebrate life, dancing and drumming under the stars and possibly the Milky Way.

Accommodation: night 8 @ Desert Camp in the Sahara

Today is a “slow” day. We’ll hang out in the desert camp, learn to bake “desert bread”, sit together with the local Berber men, who live in the camp and learn about their stories. At sunset, we'll ride grumpy dromadaries (camels) and explore the surrounding dunes. After dinner, there will be drumming and dancing under the stars.​

After breakfast, we leave the desert camp. You will experience the breathtaking vistas of the Dades Valley and Todra Gorge. We will also visit the Fossil Museum and then have lunch at the Ksar El Khorbat Foundation.​

We will be heading to a very old Kasbah, a quaint and intriguing place. Get lost in the maze of this unusual architectural structure and time will stop. Lively Berber music and drums after dinner will haunt you in the best possible way.​

Accommodation: night 11 at Kasbah in Tamnougalt

Explore the Road of the 1000 Kasbahs, or at least part of it. We will visit the two most beautiful ones: Telouet and Ait Ben Haddou. We'll end the day in another Kasbah and dream of these days gone by.​​

Accommodation: night 12 @ Ksar in Ait Benhaddou

Today, we will cross the epic Tizi n'Tichka pass on our way to the alluring imperial city of Marrakech. Lunch stop along the way. We'll kick-off our exploration of Marrakech with a visit to the Jardin Majorelle and Yves Saint Laurent Museum. Dinner at the riad.

Accommodation: night 13 @ Riad in Marrakech

After breakfast, we will explore the colourful souks of the Medina of Marrakech and stop at some key historical monuments, such as the Palais Bahia or the Medersa Ben Youssef. Shopping along the way will be hard to resist. For your last night, you will enjoy an exquisite home-cooked farewell dinner.​

After breakfast, we’ll organise your transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport.
